Preparing Pu-Erh Tea

  • Add hot water to the empty teapot to pre-heat the pot for 10 seconds
  • Discard the water
  • Place 8-10 grams of tea (4-5tsp) in a filter for a 800ml-1000ml teapot (1 gram/100ml)
  • Add boiling water 100℃ and quickly discard the water. (This rinses the tea leaves.)
  • Add boiling water again and steep for 2.5-3mins
  • Take the leaves out with the filter and save the leaves for re-steeping
  • Add 1-1.5 mins for each additional steeping
