The 6 Mountains Pu Erh Tea open house for March will be this coming Thursday. All those that find themselves in Vancouver are welcome to attend. This will be the first in a monthly series, which aims at connecting local tea enthusiasts with fine Pu Erh tea and with each other.
The style of the event will be a mix of the modern and the traditional. The goal is to bring the experience of a traditional tea house — tea session — to the Vancouver social scene. These types of tea gatherings have been going on for years in small shops and in private homes here in the city; though awareness of what is possible with a tea party, is just starting to crystalize. It is, afterall, more than a drink — fine tea is a state of mind.
The set up, the aesthetic, is important, though it comes secondary to the quality of the tea.
